FINALISING THE CONCEPT

Our final concept is related to the meaning of dreams. In our video, the story will be about a girl stuck in an emotionally abusive relationship that she is unable to escape as she has accepted it as this point. It will feature a lot of sleeplessness and anxiety as well as showcasing the theme of insomnia. She will have a dream in which she wakes up in the middle of nowhere in a white dress, and feels like part of a surreal fairytale, she will be looking for her lover but she won’t be able to find him and she will be distraught. In the dream she will also be missing her earrings and will be looking for them. In the end she will find him and be happy but she will catch a glimpse of his hands and see the earrings in them, and this will give her the sign she needs: that he is the real cillian in her story. In the end she’ll return to the bed she woke up on and but this time she will have happy expressions instead of sad.

We have decided that it will feature two different sets, one indoor with an infinite black background that will feature a white bed some performance shots of the actors as well as some shots of objects that symbolise our theme, and another in an outdoor location in an open field with tall grass or a meadow or woods of some sorts as we have to feature our protagonist waking up in the middle of nowhere.
